If you thought the first Kinect was cool, you aint seen nothing yet! The new Kinect for Windows v2 has all new technology and a more advanced SDK so you can build amazing projects that use gesture, body tracking, voice, and more. Games, business applications, usability software... whatever. You can create Kinect-enabled apps for desktop and Windows Store. You can also use Unity3D!

No matter if you're new to Kinect or an experienced developer, you're invited to show your chops and build something really cool at this event. We're gonna have a great competition with a bunch of talented hackers that you can work alongside of or throw down the gauntlet to. Plus... the MS Kinect for Windows team will be on site to provide support and to check-out what you can do.

So, come alone or come with your team, but don't pass up this cool opportunity to make something really special. We'd like to see some inter-college rivalries, but the event is open to anyone 18+ that wants to build greatness. Developers, UI Designers, Interaction Architects, UX Designers, Enthusiasts, are all welcome.

The top prize winning team (up to 5 members) will receive new (and as yet unreleased) Kinect v2's plus cash. Other winners receive cash.

All participants receive an event T-shirt, tasty catered meals, tech support, and the opportunity to make new friends and share good times in The Big Apple.

Hacking will go for 24 hours straight, followed by project presentations, judging, and the selection of winners.
